ECFMG's EPIC portal temporarily unavailable

The EPIC Portal managed by ECFMG will be temporarily unavailable for scheduled database maintenance purposes from Saturday, 21 September 2024 at 9am (AEST) to estimated time Monday, 23 September 2024 at 8am (AEST).  

This outage will prevent candidates from completing an AMC portfolio initial application, or to add further medical credential(s)/qualification(s) to their AMC candidate accounts.

Verification updates will also not be able to be updated on AMC candidate accounts, MBA/AHPRA portal or specialist college portal during this outage.

AMC MCQ authorisation fee reduced

As part of our ongoing review of assessment against international benchmarks the AMC will be reducing the MCQ Authorisation fee from the current amount of $3,124 AUD to $2,920 AUD. Also refer to frequently asked questions.

AMC MCQ Results release process change

The internal processes for the results of MCQ candidates have been updated. Results will now be released at 4.00pm on the Friday, three weeks following their MCQ Examination. This is a change to the current process of results being released at 9.00am on the Thursday, four weeks following their MCQ Examination. This enhanced process has been designed to reduce the wait time for candidates to receive their results more promptly and to bring the MCQ results process in line with the Clinical examination results process.

This process will be implemented on Friday 6 September 2024.

AMC Candidate Account - Agreement and Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

The AMC has updated our Terms of Use to enhance your experience.

As from Wednesday 1st May 2024, all candidates will be required to sign into your AMC candidate account and acknowledging agreement with the updated Terms of Use and Privacy Policy to access your AMC candidate account.

Change to Pass requirement for the Clinical Examination

Following an extensive review, the AMC has changed the pass requirement for the AMC clinical exam. For information refer to Clinical Examination.

New location for AMC MCQ examinations in Pakistan

The AMC is currently in negotiations with Pearson VUE to open an MCQ test centre in Pakistan. This venue is still being constructed, therefore not available for scheduling yet.
